Man moving suspiciously near LoC shot, shifted to Jammu GMCH

​A man spotted moving suspiciously very close to the Line of Control (LoC) was fired upon by the Army in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday. The suspect was later rescued and shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, with bullet injuries.

Rescue operation in the collapsed portion of Sikyara tunnel was delayed due to frequent obstacles of iron girders. The option of clearing the remaining stretch by experienced manual cutters is under consideration. Auger machine had to be stopped thrice during horizontal drilling.
